After years of research and development
American Powder Coating of Downey, California formed American PVD
Coatings LLC in 2006 to commercialize the PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition)
process as a decorative chrome like finish on automotive aftermarket
wheels and components. |
Founded in 1985,
American Powder Coating became one of the leading powder coating
job shops in Southern
California and developed a reputation for bringing cutting edge
technologies to the market place. The most recent example of
that trend is the chrome like appearance of the PVD process.
American
Powder Coating was the first licensee of the Permastar™ Chrome
PVD process from Goodrich Technology Corporation (GTC) and developed
the knowledge and expertise required to successfully commercialize
the environmentally friendly process in a variety of automotive
aftermarket components. |
To demonstrate it's commitment to the
PVD process and the automotive aftermarket American PVD has recently
completed installation and start-up of a facility wide expansion
program. The new production facility houses an additional vacuum
chamber, new powder coating booths and powder cure ovens. |
